Planned Maintenance & Service Contract
All Performance Physio Plinths, treatment tables & couches are designed to provide longevity & trouble free operation. These products require minimal maintenance due to the innovative design, assembly methods and the use of high quality components throughout the product range.
However, this does not mean they do not need regular inspection and servicing! For safety reasons, all couches require a minimum of an annual inspection and service to ensure that they are in good working order, safe for the operator to use as well as being safe for the patient, both of whom would be at risk in the event of an avoidable adverse incident. This must be taken into consideration and strictly adhered to.
We are pleased to offer a Planned Maintenance & Service Contract provided to you by our manufacturing partners, Seers Medical Ltd, to ensure that our products are always working correctly, to minimise down time and reduce inconvenience to the user.
All maintenance and service work is carried out by our authorised and trained engineers regionally across England, Wales and Scotland.(Offshore destinations are may be covered by distributors)
With our many years of experience in the manufacture and distribution of treatment couches both to the UK and overseas markets, we are also frequently able to service & repair products from other UK manufacturers and distributors. For this reason we do hold many regulars spares, such as actuators, hydraulic pumps, gas struts, castors, caps, inserts, adjustable feet etc. In addition, we also manufacture our own upholstery panels, so we have the ability to supply replacement sections both for our own brand products as well as the majority of other makes and brands, many of which we hold stock of the many colours and types of vinyl’s that are necessary for replacement parts. Annual Planned Maintenance & Service
(carried out as closely to the due date as possible)
Planned Maintenance includes (not limited to):
- Inspection and safe operation checks of hydraulic pump or electric actuation system, hand or foot controls (including leads) and mains cable.
- Height Range – ensure couch operates as it should from low height to maximum height with a load
- Ensure all upholstery fixings and fittings are present and secure.
- Inspection of any damage to upholstery that could cause a potential infection control issue
- Paint finish – check for damage or flaking paint/scuffs
- Gas strut operation – check release levers for correct operation and carry out gas strut adjustment if necessary
- Check adjustable and plastic feet including foot and end caps
- Check all bolts, nuts & star locks are not over tightened – remove and lubricate if necessary.
- Check castor system operation – ensuring wheel system operates correctly
- Operator manual – check that the operator has access to the user manual
Costs (per year)
Charge £95 for the first couch and £20 per subsequent couch (if checked on the same visit)

- All parts charged extra at cost unless covered by warranty
Two six monthly service checks
The check will be carried out as close to the due date as possible.

Standard call out
Those who possess a Planned Maintenance Service Contract with us, also benefit from a reduced rate on our standard call out charges:
Standard call out (within 72 hours)
- Contract rate of £65 rather than usual rate of £95 – this is charged on products outside of the standard manufacturer’s warranty period or for a follow up visit if necessary e.g. to fit a piece of upholstery that was identified as a priority change due to infection control.

24 hour emergency call out
Customers with an active service agreement with us can also benefit from special emergency call out rates. Prices as follows:
Charges (per call out)
- £50 call out charge
- £25 per hour (travelling and on site)
- £0.65 per mile travelling expenses
